Hubs and I headed up to MI last week and spent a loonngg weekend with the family. Chris and Mike spent Fri-Sun at their event while Carrie and I and the little man spent time together. We took lots of walks, scrapbooked, watched Chronicles of Narnia, painted our toenails, watched the Lions lose (again!), picked apples, played with pumpkins and relaxed. Ah! Our mom & dad-in-law joined us on Sunday afternoon and the guys arrived soon after. It was so good to enjoy each other's company and laugh and play and, of course, let Marshall entertain us. I took a ton of photos but most are on my film SLR. Here are a few of Marshall at the apple orchard. You can tell he's all boy - look at the mud he found! And he LOVES apples!

This week has already flown by! We got home late Monday night (yeah for Federal holidays!) and back to work we went today. I spent this evening baking apple pie using up just a few of the 1/2 bushel of apples we brought back from Michigan. We've got a busy week ahead and are looking forward especially to Saturday. Along with some friends, we are planning a game night at our church for adults complete with snacks and tons of games. If we get a decent turn out, we're hoping to make this a monthly event.
