A Post of Cheers and Jeers

  • Cheers – and a HUGE THANK YOU – to all of those veterans who we are honoring this weekend. Your sacrifice and service are not forgotten.
  • Jeers on the Harlan Cyclones loss on Tuesday night in football. Bad calls made it a less enjoyable game for many fans. But congratulations on your four season-spanning 49 and 1 record.
  • Cheers on visitors! My in-laws, Mom and Dad N, will arrive tomorrow evening and will be with us all weekend. Yeah! (Seriously, I really mean Yeah! My in-laws are awesome!
  • Jeers on sore losers. An election is the people’s chance to choose who they want to represent them. Did all of my choices win? No. But that’s OK. That’s why we have a democratic government. Stop whining if you or your candidate lost. There is nothing you can do except run again in a few years or encourage others to vote.
  • Cheers on my friend’s Michele and Chad’s new baby, Chloe Madison, born on Monday! Congratulations Chad, Michele and big brother Mason!
  • Cheers for federal holidays! I LOVE three day weekends!

Have a great weekend!
